Week 47 - Cold Week in the South Pole

July 21, 2014

Hey!

How are you all doing? It’s been a pretty cold week down here in the South Pole but other than that everything’s been going great. We had quite a few investigators come to church and with all the snow they almost outnumbered the members! Other than that the weeks been a bit slow we've had a huge winter carnival going this past weekend so literally NO ONE was in the street let alone their homes. But other than that it's been fine.

Monday we played soccer like normal with all of the elders in Ovajero and then we headed to Zona Franka to look for a waffle iron. We found one for 64 dollars and thought that it was a bit over priced but cooler than that we got to talk a lot with the guy who tried to sell it to us! His name was Venon and I honestly thought that besides the strange Spanish accent that he was latino until he told us that he was from New Delhi! Really nice guy, not really interested in the gospel (hindu), but really nice guy. After that we went up to Diana’s house to teach but Oscar was asleep so we had a really great lesson about the atonement with her and her parents.

Tuesday we didn't do too much. We woke up and then went to district meeting. We had a good meeting and a great/hilarious practice with Elder Gubler.  Afterwards we had lunch with the familia Vidal and then we walked around and contacted till the elders quorum activity at 8. The elders quorum activity was pretty good, but no one but Oscar and Hermano Diaz showed up till 10 and we had to leave at 9:30, so we just ate churiquesos and talked with Oscar.

Thursday we had a great time with Oscar Diana and the Diaz family making crepes and watching Together Forever but I’ll have to tell you guys about it next week because I'm out of time …oops! Oh well a pictures worth a thousand words and I sent three, do the math! I love you all and hope you're doing fantastic wherever you are!
